.krock sister radio rocking.
I've recently discovered, by chance, that radio rock station KRock (NY and LA) has launched an online sister radio KRock2. As it plays in the background at my job from someone else's computer, I'm naming every band that it plays.Bands that range from The Strokes, Franz Ferdinand, Coldplay, Depeche Mode, New Order (old school, too!), NIN to indie acts VHS or Beta, -whiney emo rockers Something Corporate, Jimmy Eat World, Arcade Fire, Postal Service, and even unheard of acts here in the States like Thirteen Senses and upcoming hot-seeker Sia (Six Feet Under Soundtrack, and collabs with house/chillers Zero 7).
KRock2 allows you to stream music without any commercial interruption, with an exception of a few short spots, and truly has a playlist that allows a listener, who may not be familiar with most acts, to discover these unheard of acts that are only played in an indie station or no station.
The station will also play not just singles, but other tracks off an act's latest release.
I'm rather surprised. Sure. Whocares. Another corporate radio. Maybe I am truly out of the loop. I don't listen to radio anymore with a human DJ talking.

I just tuned into the station. First song I hear? Beck's "Girl"! :) Quite cool.
