.robbers on high street.

You don't necessarily have to be some British rock band to make good music in the States. Robbers on High Street is a band making Poughkeepsie, New York sound good. Not so often do I get around hearing bands, good ones, that come out of Upstate New York - unless you prove me wrong.

Their full release Tree City got its name from... well... all the trees that surrounds towns in Poughkeepsie.

"Spanish Teeth" is their first single off Tree City. "Japanese Girl" is one of the bands many other tracks prior to their growing success that they had included as a part of their full release. [Release due: February 22. 2005]

CUT: Spanish Teeth [Tree City, 2005]
CUT: Japanese Girls [Tree City, 2005]
CUT: Price and Style [Tree City, 2005]

As for my opinion on the full release? Can't give one yet. I can't say whether I like it enough to praise it, but Tree City sounds promising.

I like that they're from Poughkeepsie. :) Otherwise, I haven't really gotten into the music...not that it's bad, but something is missing. Or I'm too picky. But I shall listen some mooore.
