The Manchester band Long-View (now hyphens their name) are finally due to release their debut release Mercury [import, 2004] to the States... soon. No release date yet.
The import 2-Disc set of Long-view that was recently released that includes some remixes by Mogwai, Elbow, and even two tracks by climbing electronic artist Ulrich Schnauss.

I give the release a "good" to borderline "great" rating. The band's variation in melodies may be the draw back. Some tracks may sound like another track on the album. Despite that, the album is worthy of ballads of melancholy ("I Would", "If You Asked") to driven upbeat tracks ("Will You Wait Here" and "Nowhere").
